Safeguarding

Priory Netball Club is firmly committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all young people (anyone under 18 years) to play netball.

It accepts its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all young people and protect them from poor practice, abuse and bullying. All clubs, associations & individuals are bound by the policies of England Netball, which relate to safeguarding and protecting young people in netball.

Therefore, at Priory Netball Club we adhere to England Netball’s Safeguarding policies, procedures and good practice guidelines and we have been awarded Bronze CAPS – the Netball Clubmark. Clubmark is built around a set of core criteria, which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent and accepted minimum operating standards. It is now universally recognised by clubs wishing to show good practice and demonstrate commitment in developing young people within their club. It is promoted and carefully branded, by Sport England.

All Junior & Youth coaches are DBS (previously CRB) checked.  A copy of the England Netball Child Protection Policy can be found on the England Netball website.
